Yota does not have licence for LTE network in Belarus

Belarusian operator Yota Bel, subsidiary of Russian Wimax operator Yota, is unable to carry out an LTE project in Belarus due to not having the relevant licence, Tut reports citing comments by Niokolay Panteley, minister of communications and information. Yota Bel planned to deploy an LTE network instead of the planned Wimax network in Belarus. The national operator Beltelecom is currently the only Wimax operator in Belarus, owning 22 base stations in Minsk.
