PR XL 1500s at Minsk Crossfield Festival
PR Lighting fixtures were used extensively at the inaugural Crossfield Festival
Belarus - PR Lighting fixtures were used extensively at the inaugural Crossfield Festival which was held in a football arena in Minsk.
Around 8,000 fans turned up to the event promoted by All Stars Agency, and starring DJ, ATB and German production duo Cosmic Gate (DJ Bossi and Nic Chagall).
Local technology company, FE Belimlight were contracted to provide the staging and lighting, having worked with the promoters on other concerts in Belarus, including The Scorpions and Vanessa Mae.
According to lighting designer, Ilya Piatrouski of Blackout Studio, who is experienced in designing sets for dance festivals such as Global Gathering, the price advantage of the PR Lighting fixtures enabled him to use more within the budget - and thus deliver greater impact.
"I was looking for a powerful and bright moving head to create an abundance of colour - and by using the XL1500 Spots and Wash lights wisely we were able to achieve a great result."
In total Piatrouski used 28 XL1500 Spot and 22 XL 700 Wash lights on the trusses, along with four XL700 and two XL700 Wash - all controlled from a Wholehog III lighting desk.
"In fact we used PR effects everywhere - to light the DJ's, dancers, performers and produce different lighting effects for the audience. We certainly made the right decision."
