Belarus not to renew mandate of OSCE Office in Minsk

Belarus has decided not to renew the mandate of the OSCE Office in Minsk. Today is the last day of the three-month term that was necessary for the technical closure of the office.

Andrei Savinykh, spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, told media on 31 December, 2010 that it was a knowledgeable decision caused by the lack of objective reasons for the continuation of the OSCE mission in Belarus, RIA Novosti reported.
