Salans has signed its 11th cooperation agreement with another firm, linking up with Belarus’s Stepanovski Papakul & Partners.
The bilateral arrangement covers work within Belarus as well as outbound investment into Russia and Central and Eastern Europe. Both firms will remain independent.
Salans has similar arrangements with independent firms across the world, including Pinsent Masons in the UK.
The two firms have previously worked together on deals including a nuclear plant project. In the future they plan to market to clients together and engage in joint training programmes.
Salans St Petersburg partner Glenn Kolleeny said the Belarusian market was “very promising” and the relationship would benefit clients in Russia and neighbouring jurisdictions.
