MINSK, April 4 (Itar-Tass) -- Belarus has ratified an intergovernmental agreement signed with Ukraine on the transportation of oil.
According to Deputy Chairman of Belneftekhim Concern Vladimir Volkov, the intergovernmental agreement on the development of cooperation in the sphere of oil transportation through the territory of Ukraine to Belarus, signed between the two sides in July 2010, was adopted with the aim to diversify oil supplies to the Republic of Belarus.
“The document was signed to guarantee long-term and mutually advantageous cooperation between Belarus and Ukraine in the joint use of the infrastructure of Ukraine’s seaports, railways and pipelines for oil transportation to Belarusian oil refineries,” Volkov said.
