PanARMENIAN.Net - Belarus faced difficulties in preparation for Eurovision song contest. Anastasia Vinnikova, who will represent the country this year; was caught in plagiarizing the song “I love Belarus.”
Vechernyaya Moskva paper reported that initially Anastasia Vinnikova’s song “Born in Byelorussia” was substituted urgently. According to organizers of the contest, its lyrics ran counter to the contest rules for being extremely politicized.
There are problems also with the new song “I Love Belarus”: Belarusian bloggers revealed plagiarism in its music. According to experts, it strongly resembles a song of Sektor Gaza Russian rock band.
The only person who has not noticed the similarity is the author of the Belarusian entry, composer Evgeny Oleinik. Commenting on accusations, Oleinik told journalists he has never listened to Sektor Gaza. Belarus is not going to substitute its entry again.
