Belarus to revoke its application against Russia
Itar Tass reported that Belarus intends to revoke its suit from the CIS Economy Court against the Russian government about illegal customs duties for oil products.
Mr Viktor Golovanov Belarus Minister of Justice said that “As things are now, Belarus will most likely file an application to the Economy Court asking to stop the proceedings of this case as we have received a note from Russia’s Foreign Ministry.”
He said that the Russian side has confirmed its decision not to apply duties to all oil products supplied to Belarus as the Belarussian side has fulfilled its promises to adopt and confirms the legal acts related to the Customs Union.
He added that in December of past year Belarus ratified 17 intergovernmental agreements on formation of the United Economic Space and the bilateral Belarus and Russia agreement which regulate cooperation in the oil market as well as an agreement on sharing export duties on raw oil and oil products
