Ukrainian President Viktor Yuschenko and President Alexander Lukashenko of Belarus will meet in Gomel in Belarus on Wednesday.
The president's press secretary, Iryna Vannykova, said this at a briefing in Kyiv on Tuesday.
She noted that the two presidents are to discuss a number of current issues in bilateral relations. They will also touch on the issues of the legal delimitation of the state border, as well as cooperation in the energy and transport sectors.
Yuschenko and Lukashenko are also planning to discuss Ukraine's plans to join the European Union, and Belarus' cooperation with the EU. The two leaders will also discuss the possibilities that will arise during the implementation of the EU Eastern Partnership initiative.
In addition, the Ukrainian president will raise pressing consular and legal issues, Vannykova added.
