President Viktor Yushchenko left for Gomel, Belarus

He is scheduled to have there a working meeting with President Alexandr Lukashenka of Belarus.

The meeting will be devoted first of all to completion of the official state border delineation, trade-economic cooperation, interaction in energy and transport spheres. The presidents are also expected to discuss implementation of Ukraine's Eurointegration course and cooperation of Belarus with the European Union, particularly in the context of opportunities opening through EU's Eastern Partnership initiative whose foundation summit will take place in Prague on May 7. Viktor Yushchenko is also planning to discuss with his Belarus counterpart a package of issues involved in consular and legal aspects of bilateral relations, which need immediate settlement.
