President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to visit Azerbaijan

Baku. Viktoria Dementieva - APA. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko will visit Azerbaijan in the first half of this year, ambassador of Belarus to Azerbaijan Nikolay Patskevich told the press conference, APA reports.

The ambassador said the exact date of the visit was not known, discussions were being held in connection with the visit schedule. Patskevich said Alexander Lukashenko's visit would give an impetus to the development of the relations between the two countries.

The diplomat said nearly 50 documents were signed between the governments and different organizations of both countries. He said 20 documents were elaborated and 10 of them would be signed. "It is early to say what document will be signed. I know that an agreement about the mutual protection of investments will be signed. It was already coordinated between the governments".

Patskevich added that the intergovernmental commission would hold its sixth meeting on the eve of Lukashenko's visit.
