MINSK, May 27 (Itar-Tass) - Belarussian diplomats accredited in Bishkek will return to the Kyrgyz capital only when there is no threat to their life, a spokesman for the Belarussian Foreign Ministry, Andrei Savinykh, told a news conference on Thursday.
"Belarussian diplomats still remain in Minsk, the consultations are underway. They will return to Bishkek, when we can say with confidence that nothing poses a threat to them," he said.
Belarussian diplomats were recalled from Bishkek in early May.
"This is a necessary measure, but it is just temporary," the Foreign Ministry said.
Minsk had taken such a step "for security reasons over a threat to life and health of diplomats. The treat emanates from extremist elements whom nobody controls," the source said.
