Belarus to host Turkmen Culture Days June 8-12

Belarus will host Turkmenistan's Culture Days from June 8 to 12. Agreement on this decision was reached during talks held at the high level.
According to the national television channel Altyn Asir, the Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammadov stressed that it will "serve to further rapprochement between the two friendly peoples in the development of interstate cooperation".
Relevant bodies are instructed to hold the next rally at a high level. The information also says that the Turkmen leader called for further promotion of rich spiritual and historical and cultural heritage of the nation in the world.
"We need to represent the culture of the Turkmen people in the world arena," he said.
In the current month, celebration in honor of the great Turkmen poet Makhtumkuli Fraghi was held in the Astrakhan region of Russia, Azerbaijan and other countries.
