Belarus: about 3% of grain crops suffered from heavy rains

Grain crops throughout 76,000 ha or 3% from total sowing area suffered from inclement weather, heavy and often rains, informed Vladimir Garkun the head of the Central administrative board of plant growing of Food and Agricultural Ministry of Belarus in the press-conference in Minsk on July,16, 2009.

The crops were totally destroyed throughout 9,000 ha sowing areas.

At the areas where grain crops were damaged, the harvest will decrease from 10% to 15%,marked the specialist.
