In the first half of this year the export of Azerbaijani production to Belarus grew 68%.
'This is a very serious indicator demonstrating the high level of trade and economic cooperation between our countries. The Belarus embassy in Azerbaijan is working over raising the export to Azerbaijan and increasing the bilateral trade turnover in general', Sergey Panasyuk, adviser on trade and economic issues of the Belarus embassy in Azerbaijan said.
Panasyuk also said Belarus Economy Minister Nicholay Snopkov is also expected to visit Azerbaijan in October of this year.
'There is a plan to discuss intensification of cooperation on mutual raising of investments. During Alexander Lukashenko's visit to Azerbaijan, the sides signed an agreement on raising and mutual protection of investments. And this agreement must now be filled with a definite content, therefore, there is a plan to discuss a number of practical projects on raising investments in both Azerbaijan and Belarus', Panasyuk said.
He noted that Belarus is ready to offer a number of investment projects to Azerbaijan in different spheres of industry, tourism, logistics and so on.
