The Belarusian government has published the regulations governing e-commerce in Belarus, reports E-Belarus.org.
The resolution, issued on 8 September 2006, defines an internet shop as a web site containing information about a trading agent and his goods. The website must be hosted on a server located in the Republic of Belarus.
The name of the website must also be registered in the .BY domain. The domain registration must be confirmed by a certificate issued by the State Centre of Information Security.
The regulation will come into effect in March 2007
