ALMATY. The 15th round-date CIS summit will be held on October 17 in Minsk, Oleg Ivanov, spokesperson for the MFA of Belarus, said, Kazakhstan Today reports citing "ITAR-TASS."
Mr. Ivanov specified that the Belarusian side at the forthcoming summit is going to emphasise "the necessity to develop more actively the interregional co-operation." According to him, the European Union already has a positive experience and it is "actually visible at the local level."
The MFA spokesperson also said that the "group of sages" specially established within the CIS to prepare propositions on improvement of the CIS activities will present to the heads of state a report on possible mechanisms of a CIS reform.
Besides, it is suggested to discuss at the summit implementation of decisions made at the top level about a necessity to unify terms for the implementation of agreements for all CIS member states.
