Head of the State met participants of 2nd Congress of World and Traditional Religions' Leaders

ASTANA. September 12, 2006. KAZINFORM /Dina Yermaganbetova/ - Today in the afternoon the Head of the State Nursultan Nazarbayev has held a number of meetings with the participants and guests of the 2nd Congress of World and Traditional Religions' Leaders.

At a briefing after the meeting, the Metropolitan of Minsk and Slutsk, the Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus Filaret from Russia highlighted the international and inter-confessional stability in Kazakhstan. According to him, it is results of wise policy of Kazakhstan president.

I am much obliged to Kazakhstan President for afforded opportunity to take part in the forum aimed at further development of interfaith and intercultural cooperation in Kazakhstan, Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople Bartholomew I (Turkey) told.

Kazakh President also received former Premier of Malaysia Mahathir Mohamad, chairman of leaders of Association of Shintoist Temples (Japan) Kuni Kuniaki, and Mohammed Sayed Tan-taui, Sheikh and Supreme Imam of AI-Azhar University from Egypt.
