MINSK, September 26 (Itar-Tass) -- Belarusian Central Elections Commission Chairwoman Lidia Yermoshina has voiced hope for an objective evaluation of the nearing parliament election by international observers.
There are 263 candidates for 110 parliament seats, Yermoshina said. "The election campaign is rather calm, and there have been no black PR cases," she added.
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko set the goal of an unprecedentedly open, transparent and accessible elections, she said. "We have been complying with this goal in the three months of the election campaign," she said.
Belarus has accredited 926 international election observers, most of them from the OSCE and the CIS, Yermoshina said.
