MOSCOW. Oct 20 (Interfax) - The Secretariat of the Collective Security Treaty Organization has received a package of agreements on the organization's Collective Operational Reaction Force (CORF), signed by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko.
"The package includes an agreement on CORF, a resolution of the organization's Collective Security Council on the force's structure, and two agreements on the Secretariat and the Joint Staff - the decision to restructure the CSTO Secretariat and the decision to restructure the CSTO's Joint Staff and give it additional functions," a spokesman for the CSTO Secretariat told Interfax on Tuesday.
The package was signed at a meeting of the Collective Security Council on June 14 2009 by the presidents of Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan, he said. "Uzbekistan announced its special position on individual provisions then, while the delegation of Belarus did not attend the meeting over the so-called 'milk war,'" he said
President Alexander Lukashenko has fulfilled his pledge to sign these documents, made in an interview with Russian journalists in early October, the source said.
