(AGI) - Turin, Nov 24 - "It is very surprising that a Government facing an act we, Italian institution, never made use of, behaves in a way that damages children. We are against this attitude that denies the rights of children and doesn't respect the international legislations". Rosy Bindi, guest in Turin at the convention "Learning from experience", organised by the Piedmont Region, said this regarding the news that Belarus intends to limit the stay of Belarus children in Italy. "Saying that the children of the Institutes, potentially adoptable, no longer can, starting from Christmas, stay in Italy, though children from families can, punishes those who most need it". Penalising and incomprehensible for the minister, also allowing the children to stay "only in eventual communitarian Italian structures". According to Bindi, "this decision jeopardises the cooperation of the development and growth of foreign children. The project with Belarus is the biggest in Italy paid by families. The tickets were ready for our delegation that leaves for Belarus on Wednesday. Now everything stops though. The mission will be carried out anyway" the minister promises. "We want answers, also to the 600 Italian adoption request".
