Some electronic mass-media flashed the news that the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko had refused to meet with the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry Sergey Lavrov.
As previously reported, Lavrov visited Minsk the day before and had negotiations with his Belarus colleague.
However, soon the latest information was denied. The Kremlin said that no meeting of the minister and the president of Ukraine had been planned. Dmitry Medvedev had allegedly forbidden Lavrov to meet with Lukashenko.
"The meeting wasn't planned, the head of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs had precise instructions of the President of Russia in this respect", advised the Kremlin.
Later Lavrov himself confirmed that no meeting with Lukashenko had been planned for November 23.
