Belarus President to visit Venezuela December 7-9

Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko is visiting Venezuela next December 7-9 to organize three joint ventures, President Hugo Chavez said on Wednesday.

"This Lukashenko's visit is very important," Chavez said during a phone call that lasted some 45 minutes to television show La Hojilla, on official TV station VTV.

The joint ventures to be organized include Venbelas Camiones, Veneminsk Tractores and a third company to manufacture bodyworks and chassis, Efe reported.

All of these manufacturing plants will be based in Venezuelan Llanos region. "We are taking development to the regions of Los Llanos, which have been abandoned for so long," Chavez said.

This will be Lukashenko's first visit to Venezuela.
