The State Security Committee of Belarus (KSB) has been constantly following the situation in religious field of the country, trying to not admit penetration into republic of destructive religious currents, online paper NEWSru reports, referring to the remarks of the KGB of Belarus Chairman Yury Zhadobin talking to journalists today.
" Religious questions are in a constant field of vision of the KGB as those are very delicate questions. If to not follow developments in this area constantly, we can receive pitiable consequences", said Zhadobin. He referred to events in the Penza area of Russia. According to Zhadobin, the Belarus KGB have revealed a sectarian who had worked there. "We have closed entrance to him into the republic, however we were a little late," the head of the Belarus security agency is quoted as saying.
Zhadobin noted that the problem of destructive religious currents which attempted to penetrate Belarus in the 1990s, demands permanent attention. "Any careless move, incorrectly said word, incorrectly interpreted postulates can make harm in the religious sphere," the KGB head said according to Newsru. He noted that "Belarus has always been famous for tolerance, consent in the society, that's why we have been paying steadfast attention to these issues", online paper adds.
