Belarusian market will be fully saturated with juices of national origin by mid 2008, Ivan Bambiza, the Vice-Prime Minister of the Government told to the Parliament.
"Two powerful plants will be created in Belarus - they will satisfy 100% of inner consumption and will also perform exporting supplies", I. Bambiza said. He also observed that 60% of juices in Belarus are of imported origin now.
Vice-Prime Minister specified that he was talking about the construction of two plants, in Bobruysk and in Minsk suburb. Initially, the enterprise in Bobruysk will work with concentrated juices. Also, both plants will use local raw materials, primarily apples, plums and berries. According to I. Bambiza, the flexible production lines will be installed at two enterprises - they let the plants produce a wide assortment of juices and drinks. "We will even be able to make potato juice, it is very useful for health", I. Bambiza told.
The capacity of Minsk juice plant should amount to 100 mln. of conditional jars per year, "Interfax-Zapad" informs. The enterprise will be located in Minsk district on the territory of "Zhdanovichi" agri-complex within the limits of the perspective boundary of Minsk (the district of Power Station #4).
There is a plan to install the lines for juice production and bottling into PET packs by aseptic method, and also the line for production and bottling of juice-based sparkling drinks into PET packs on the plant (each line will be of 6,000 of bottles per hour production). Also, there is a plan to install the line for the production of bottled potable water packed into PET packs.
There is an idea to locate the Logistics center near the plant. Its structure will contain the transportation-expeditionary division with the specially equipped car park. The center will accumulate the products of "Belgospisheprom" concern for the further distribution on the inner and external markets.
Minsk juice plant is constructed by the enterprise "Belstroypisheprom" of "Belgospisheprom" concern.
The owner of Bobruysk juice plant is Detroit Belarus Juice Company. Its founders are Detroit Investments Ltd group and International Finance Corporation (they own 80% and 20% of the company respectively). Juice plant will be the second joint project of Detroit Investments and IFC in Belarus (Joint Closed JSC "Brewery company "Syabar"" also works in Bobruysk. As for the sales volumes, now it occupies the second place among Belarusian beer producers).
On the first stage the capacity of Bobruysk plant will constitute 10 mln. of decalitres of juices per year. The first stage of the plant construction costs $ 20 mln.
