Byelorussian and Venezuelan state oil companies to set up JV

Venezuelan state-run oil company Petroleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) and RUP "Production Company "Belorusneft" have signed an agreement to set up a joint venture (JV) for oil and gas field development. JV will be engaged in field development activities in the state of Anzoategui and West Venezuela. PDVSA will own a 60% stake in the new JV, and Belorusneft - 40%. The agreement will allow the Byelorussian company to operate in Venezuela.
