MOSCOW. Dec 25 (Interfax) - The Customs Union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan will create new prospects in developing cooperation between CIS member states, said Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.
"It could become a base for forming the common economic space of the Commonwealth. There is every precondition to do this at accelerated rate and to unify the customs tariff by January 1, 2010 and the administration regime and to set up special supranational bodies," Medvedev told a joint meeting of the Russian State Council and the Russian Security Council on Thursday.
