TEHRAN (ISNA)-Iran and Belarus are to mature agricultural cooperation.
In a meeting between Iranian Minister of Agriculture Sadeq Khalilian and Belarusian ambassador to Iran Victor Rybak in Tehran on Monday, the ambassador said Iran's exports to Belarus during 10 initial months of this year totaled 7.2 million dollars and one third of which involved agricultural products.
He also said the exports include conserves, fruits, figs, dates, nuts and pistachios.
Rybak added his country can send butter and red meat to Iran.
Khalilian on his part highlighted considerable agricultural potentials of the the two sides and called for further engagement of private sectors of the two sides.
He also continued Iran is willing to expand cooperation with Belarus over research on seeds and saplings as well as holding training courses.
